At approximately 8:55 PM CST, a critical alert was received indicating that WAN Port WAN2 on the Grandstream Router (MDEG_24_WAN) had no connection. This triggered an Emergency Network-Level Alert via the monitoring system.
Action Taken:
To mitigate potential service interruption and ensure infrastructure integrity, immediate maintenance was performed, including:
- Verified physical WAN connectivity and link stability.
- Accessed Grandstream management interface and confirmed system logs.
- Applied all available firmware updates on the router and both network switches to address any latent bugs or security vulnerabilities.
- Rebooted devices in a controlled sequence to avoid downtime.
- Revalidated WAN connectivity and ensured all network traffic resumed normal operation.
